Sales Tax Regulation 1529. Motion Pictures

Sales Tax Exemption for Production Equipment
Effective January 1, 1999, the California State Board of Equalization granted a 5%
sales tax exemption on the purchase of teleproduction and postproduction equipment by
those individuals and businesses primarily engaged in the business of
teleproduction as defined by the NAIC. Complete text of Regulation 1532 and the

Resale Certificate
Those businesses buying goods for resale are required to submit a
Resale Certificate to each supplier of goods in order to be exempted from
paying sales tax on them. You must already have a Reseller's Permit in
order to use this form. |
