PVNB Code of Conduct for Events
Our members take their work and the client’s needs seriously. When on
location, each PVNB member has agreed to abide by the following Code, and will:
1) Dress appropriately for the occasion and maintain a professional
demeanor at all times.
2) Work in partnership with event coordinators and venue representatives
when selecting camera locations and setting microphones so that operator movement and
disruptions are avoided.
3) Maintain a courteous, collaborative relationship with the other
professionals involved.
4) Use additional lighting only with advance approval.
5) Strive to be as unobtrusive as possible.
6) Set up equipment (tripods, microphones, power cords, etc.) in a
manner that does not harm the venue or pose a hazard to participants or guests.
7) Work in a cooperative and professional manner with officiants and
other professionals to maintain the mood of the occasion.
